Paper is significantly faster than Spigot. As a result we have 60% of servers on Paper. It is bad, because not everyone likes policy of paper. Everything could change, if Spigot start accepting performance patches and maybe api patches from paper and this will be announced loud and publicly. Then noone will be forced by paper to use gradle, methods without 'get' prefix or, for example, Component objects.
