Okay.  Here we go:  

I used BuildTools to update spigot to the latest version.  I copied over the spigot-1.12.2.jar it made into my Jar file, and restarted my server.  However, for some reason whenever a player issued the command: /spawn, it crashed the entire server.  Looking in my logs, I did not really find anything of relevance.  It told me to report the problem to spigot.

 

My logs were weird.  It was like once /spawn was issued it just FROZE.  It didnt even give an error message for the command, it just crashed!

 

However I just reverted back to my older copy of spigot-1.12.2 and everything worked fine. (I also re-uploaded essentials-spawn, but it was the same file to begin with)  So I do not have a problem now.  I was just told to tell someone at spigot what happened.
