From the beginning till now I got lots of questions about how to store custom information in an ItemStack. I always said they need to use NBT for this, and to be able to use NBT you need to has the Spigot Server as a dependency or use reflection, doing it this way if there are easier solutions is really frustrating.

It would be really nice if a metadata API would be added in the ItemStack to make the life of some people less frustrating what causes them to smash their head into the wall.
