 Description

if you have a dispenser that faces either east or west and it fires an egg into a 1 block area the baby chicken gets stuck in the dispenser and in some cases can be pushed through and/or suffocate and die. This does not happen in vanilla.

to replicate:
build what is shown in the screenshot and make sure the dispenser is facing either east or south. fill it with eggs and connect it to a redstone clock.
although the chickens may not get stuck at first, if something pushes them (like a player or a bunch more chickens) they get stuck and get pushed into or through the dispenser almost every time

Hmmmm ok, so if I have the most up to date Spigot version, this issue should be resolved? I thought that I had updated after this ticket was resolved, but I will have to try again.

We don't have fix versions, this was resolved at the time the ticket was marked as such.

It looks like the issue was identified, and the ticket was set as resolved. Has this fix been tested and approved? I would assume not, as there is no fix version yet for this issue.

I've been experiencing this problem for quite a while now, looking forward to a resolution.

It appears the issue is that we set entity age post spawn not pre-spawn in EntityEgg

Very subtle issue somewhere, can't say it will ever be fixed.

This does not happen in vanilla

from your screenshot it appears that you are using chicken spawn eggs instead of plain eggs (minecraft:egg or id 344) and that is probably why you are unable to reproduce.

Screenshot of my setup which cant reproduce.

Comment by md_5 [ 31/May/15 ]

Cannot reproduce south, east, or west.

What about in vanilla?

this bug is really annoying because it makes a chicken farm i designed only work in one direction
