 Description

Anyone who goes to spawn on my server gets

Internal Exception: io.netty.handler.codec.DecoderException: Badly compressed packet - size of 2834535 is larger than the protocol maximum of 2097152

and cannot join unless I move their uuid nbt position to somewhere far from spawn.

Problem fixed. I did a coreprotect rollback on any activity done around spawn. Why did I not think of that immediately? I blame lack of sleep. Regardless though, hopefully this issue will be fixed in future spigot updates, to prevent happening again/on other servers.

You mean save the world file and upload that somewhere for you to look at? It's currently downloading from the hosted server but it's taking a while, large world.

Upon skimming through a bunch of less than savoury YouTubers videos, I think it might have something to do with a chunk duplication glitch involving written books.

I can upload the world file somewhere once it's downloaded if need be...?

Perhaps a copy of the spawn area....

It’s resolved as incomplete

The only other information I can think to add is that a specific player who has since been ip banned kept trying to get people to go to spawn, they must have done something that kicks people with that code who go to the spawn area. I really don't know what else to add...

I genuinely don't know what else to add. I think someone joined and did something at spawn that crashes anyone who goes to the spawn area. Do you not have any ideas on how to fix this?

Why is this marked as resolved? It's clearly not...
