Description |
Hello there in my 1st post, recently I switched to MC 1.13.2 and I have a VPS (1vCore CPU, 1GB RAM, 20GB SSD) until then I was on 1.12.2 and it was working well. But now the hole process freezes frequently and today it causes to stop completly and it restarted in background which forces me to kill server's process in "htop" because it took entire CPU activity. I have enabled something in "update" folder I have no idea what that is for because it is not even working. Server crash log: Some update helper: |

Sorry not sure what you want me to do on the basis of this information. If your server is freezing so much so that it crashes then it will produce a log you can upload. Otherwise I will not your specs are at the bare minimum (tiny VPS has terrible performance even compared to cheap shared hosts), so I would not expect usable gameplay about maybe 4 players on the server. You can investigate reducing view distance to try and squeeze some extra performance out, but otherwise I really don't have more to add. |

Minecraft 1.13 needs more CPU power and more RAM than 1.12. Your should get rid of SpigetUpdate, it's not working. Your version is about 2 weeks old, so it's missing some optimizations. Recently there was a commit that releases memory of unused chunks more often. Anyway you might consider getting a faster server. V-Servers frequently limit or pause the usage of the CPU for several seconds. |
