 Description

Not sure what's the meaning about this. Is there an issue with the communication/encryption to Mojang? Hours before I already had some issues with plugins trying to lookup UUIDs of offline players.

The weird thing here is that it took 12 minutes to run out of memory and shutdown for real.

I know the Spigot build is slightly outdated. The reason for this is that I downgraded from the current build as I could not place (just break) any blocks for unknown reason. But that is a different story.

That's funny because I didn't have ca-certificates-java installed yet.
I'll pick it up and see what happens...

This seems to be a very common issue with your OS, which just happens to be the one I use as well. I was talking with some people on the Spigot IRC and Z750 told me to use the following command which fixed my issue:

sudo /var/lib/dpkg/info/ca-certificates-java.postinst configure

Sure.
java version "1.8.0_66"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.8.0_66-b17)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 25.66-b17, mixed mode)

Linux hub 3.13.0-65-generic #106-Ubuntu SMP Fri Oct 2 22:08:27 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Ubuntu Server 14.04

total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 15738 15569 169 3 181 6840
-Xms6144M -Xmx10240M
tl;dr: Spigot has 6 to 10 GB of 16GB assigned.

I'll take a look at the tool later.

I have encountered this issue before where a server fails to contact the Mojang Auth servers. If you don't mind, would you please include some information about your system such as OS (and version), Java version, RAM, etc.?

Also, if you want to try and debug the issue, I recommend taking a look at https://github.com/domnianmc/mcauthtester

Your build is not the latest and therefore may be the reason you are having this issue. Spigot is 1 version(s) behind. CraftBukkit is 3 version(s) behind. This message was automatically generated and is not guaranteed to be a solution to your issue.
