Hello,

Since yesterday, I'm trying to generate Spigot in version 1.8.4 (because I need this version to use important plugins for my server) but I'm having problems doing that. Everytime I try to compile BuildTools (#35 ; #36 and even #37) with --rev <version> flag, I get Spigot and CraftBukkit in version 1.8.6.
I can give you somes references :

There is no difference for plugins between 1.8.4 and 1.8.6, so I don't believe that a plugin has broken due to this. Revision 422 and around that area are 1.8.3 if you really really need it but I suggest you fix the actual issue

I need OpenInv for managing my server. However, it doesn't work in 1.8.6 (already tested).
I know what version I need to use and I'm aware of the consequences of that choice (security issues, etc).

1.8.4 plugins work on 1.8.5 and 1.8.6. You should use 1.8.6 if your trying to target anything past 1.8.3

So there is no reason to keep a separate 1.8.4 branch
